Adjusting the tension on the bobbin...

OMG yesterday when i was making my little floral bag the tension on my sewing machine completely messed itself up. It's never done it before and having taught myself to sew I was clueless to be honest. My mom had a look. We tried changing the needle, changing the bobbin reel...etc etc.

The internet if i'm honest was not much use, it was all to detailed and I couldn't figure out what the jargon was. Eventually I found a site, deciphered the codes that it spoke it; and now I shall bring a nice simple version to you!

Problem: Ah! Help, I have loops on the bottom of my fabric like so;
The top image shoes you looking at the top of your fabric and if the tension is fine it will look like and be pretty and nice...
But if you look at the back and there is loops everywhere! Your bobbin tension has gone!

Solution: Take out the bobbin from the bobbin case and locate the little screw on the case.
As you can see here it is labelled as the Lower Thread Tension Screw. Then all you have to do is tighten it by turning it a quarter turn to the right. Righty tighty left loosey. Eh voila!

It really is that simple. And to think. I got my wig off about that!
